I vote yes because I honestly think mazznoff would be a good, impartial mod. As far as going into more detail, I did make the actual article so all reasons I give for supporting him are right on the article page. Mazznoff won't even be part of Battkhortostan in a few days, his settlement now qualifies for nation status. Everyone seems pretty concerned that mazznoff will be a puppet or something but that simply isn't the case. I think everyone should be more concerned for the impartiality of the current mods, Enton and venomthrope are especially biased against Battkhortostan et al, considering the Katten Khanate was directly responsible for the abandonment of their nations/settlements (G.A.M. in the case of Enton and Wissendorf in the case of venomthrope). Mazznoff, on the contrary, doesn't hold grudges. He just enjoys the occassional legal raid like the rest of us. — Chris 2013/02/17 02:45

“legal raid” i think the stealing of other peoples stuff and blocking places with chests is against the rules./>Implying the only person living in wissendorf was ivanidiot and he left because he was too lazy to build it.-Cool Guy-

That implies I stole other people's stuff. Citation needed because serious accusation. — mazznoff 2013/02/17 10:22

Well, he has been active since 1.7 with regularity, and speaks Russian, so can communicate with them and translate for them if necessary. Also is C&A and doesn't get in as much trouble as the rest of us.

Edit: Mazznoff is also very familiar with the server rules, having put thought into and written the server constitution. Even if this constitution is not adopted, it required some review and discussion with the adminship concerning how the rules are intended to work, giving mazznoff a familiarity that most other candidates lack.

Unlike some current and former mods, I believe mazznoff would be helpful and answer player requests promptly, rather than reserving his mod powers only for harrassing and punishing the playerbase for sport.

Additionally, mazznoff was involved in creating institutions such as the 1st Bank of Battkhortostan, so perhaps he could also add something positive to the server in addition to fulfilling basic mod duties. — Sikandar 2013/02/16 05:28

Bretty cool guy would moderate with/10 — V1adimirr 2013/02/16 06:12

I vote yes because mazznoff doesn't create as much drama, isn't controversial like most of oldfriends, plays actively, and since he is actually part of a nation he knows how nations are supposed to work. He is one of the best candidates to this job. – mr. Rosenmann

I've noticed a sudden influx of Russians on the server in the past few weeks, they like to grief the public farms and the Grundestower and every time I have to wait for mods to come online, a lot of the time they are in IRC but can't be bothered logging on. I don't expect them to, but then the grief stays there for a few days and it looks bad on the server or inconveniences other players. Considering mazznoff speaks fluent Russian and English as well as partially speaking a few others he'd be an asset to the moderation team if not just for his language skills but for also being a lawyer in training. His background isn't really tarished, for he hasn't been banned because of malicious actions like the rest of his nation, he doesn't actively partake in rule breaking or even pushing or stretching them.
Coming to the negative votes I'd like to disagree with some of their points. As for caBst's view on the amount of moderation staff, I can't see how more mods would be worse. At the present time a lot of the moderation staff are inactive on the server so you have to harass them on IRC to come help you when you are in need. Its understandable that you lose interest in the game over time and it often has cycles of inactivity and activity but during these inactive spells that current userbase is missing out on potential help. As for Shakomatic's nation favoritism, it already happens. Look at Badface, I went in and there was gratuitous amounts of mod abuse, I went and systematically went through each chest finding the unlocked ones and I found heaps of items which were given out by mods, stacks of emeralds, nameless items, chiselled stone stacks and various other shit which is very unlikely for a player to have obtained legitimately. Even when Mystia agreed to join the Khaganate s/he was stopped by Enton. And finally turning towards venomthorpe's message, as a moderator of the server you should pay attention towards the wiki, te3 suggested this type of voting. Its a suggestion and show of support, not a majority wins situation. — greenkitten 2013/02/16 13:36

Even if I think mazznoff would be, if not good at least a decent mod, I don't think this server is in need of more mods for the present time. As a matter of fact, it comes to my attention how many moderators have yet to be reprimanded over certain actions that I was surely reprimended for. The current situation of the staff is proposterous. Seeing how moderators are throwing shit at each other backstage I'd rather see a more solid present staff rather than adding more meat to the grinder. — caBastard 2013/02/16 06:16

We do not need any more Mods who are affiliated with Nations. If you remember 1.7 it lead to national favoritism. Either ever nation has a mod or no nation has a mod. I prefer the latter — shakomatic 2013/02/16 06:41

Another useless vote for a matter thats only for te3 to decide and all the people “voting” thusfar are people that should have no business deciding these things excluding vlad. -Cool Guy-

—Updatum I—

I do know of te3's proposition on mod votes for the plebes and i do monitor the eternal butthurt that goes in the wiki, but i think te3 is being brainwashed by the evil mongoloid HAARP devices in khanate clay and he should ingnore mongoloid brainwash attempts and not give the silly players the ability to decide anything regarding who should be a mod since players are corrupt scum and cannot be trusted to do anything involving common sense.(implying there would be a kovio/greenkitten/Pick your mongoloid for mod votes going on the minute he would accept it) -Cool Guy-

I certainly have no plans to nominate anyone else for mod, and certainly not kovio/greenkitten/sikandar/myself. This isn't a huge conspiracy. — Chris 2013/02/16 20:03

mazznoff isn't neutral, and gets banned pretty often. The last thing we need is another mod that'll side with people who are constantly causing server drama. Also what venomthrope said. –Tanagloo

Just today mazznoff helped grief my city. I vote no to any greifers. -shako
