In Favour

As far as I know, back in beta (1.7 and earlier), it wasn't that uncommon to make people who were around for like two months mods (well, the server wasn't that old then). I don't like how so-called oldfriends and players pretending to be oldfriends are trying to hijack this discussion - why does this fact matter that much?

What do you mean by “hijack”, the page asks us to explain our votes. Yes, it was an entirely different situation in 1.7 when the server was hardly as old as it is. I don't agree that someone need play a year to be a mod, it simply is a bonus for a player to have been around longer. — Sikandar 2013/02/19 03:39

Ralxtew definitely knows what the server and its community are like. By the way, being a reasonable, responsible and nice person is already a good start for a mod candidate. We all know that this itself isn't enough and we can only assume if he may or may not be a good mod, but what else do you expect in detail? Ebin building or PvP skills? — Enton 2013/02/19 03:16

I think good building skills are beneficial. Not every nice and well-behaved player should be a mod, as this is something that should be expected of all players. I don't see the problem in asking if he has anything else to offer in addition to being available to perform basic mod duties and having the appropriate character to not abuse the position, the page is here for that purpose. — Sikandar 2013/02/19 03:39

Good enough for mod, less than political, but has a feel for the current landscape, diplomatic, slow to anger, as active as anyone as far as I know. Not my first choice mind, but ranks in the top ten or so. — Juinn 18/02/2013 18:29 (PST)

raslx is a rathe unbiased Player, he never took sides in any war and respects all other players on the server -shako

Best dragon also there always seem to be a lack of mods on, it can't hurt to have another mod at least we know this guy isn't a cunt. If he abuses you can just remove him from the position with little to no harm done. — green kitten 2013/02/19 05:11

“Little to no harm done.” Lolwut? After Aineias rolled back the entire server we never got back all the stuff we had built. 2 days of progress lost forever. — caBastard 2013/02/19 05:24
Aineias was an idiot though — green kitten 2013/02/19 06:06

Opposed

having been around for only four months

You nipped it on the bud right there. You should have to play for at least a year to be mod. — k_chris 2013/02/18 19:13

I am not overly familiar with him. Initially thought he was a dragonbf knockoff. What qualities does he possess that make him especially fit to be a mod, besides not being an asshole? Being well-behaved shouldn't be the only criteria to be satisfied for modship. It seems that he was involved in building Kreigstein, so that is a plus. — Sikandar 2013/02/18 19:25

Too new of a player — cool dude 2013/02/19 02:09

You've got to be fucking kidding me now. — caBastard 2013/02/19 04:17

No voting on mods. Notify te3 if you think someone is worthy. He'll then think about it. EDIT: Apparantly voting on mods has become common practice (ie. Mazznoff). Carry on. — Koentinius 2013/02/19 04:23

Voting doesn't actually matter, more of a guage of how the community feels and te3 has the final say. — Sikandar 2013/02/19 04:32>

I WARNED YOU YOU COULD HAVE STOPPED THIS, NOW ITS TOO LATE, THE END IS HERE.-I TOLD YOU-

4 months only? You're kidding right? People that want to be mods should at least have played on the server 6 months…even better if more than a year! -Myschii-

Ralxtew would not make for a bad mod. He's helpful, friendly and pretty active—but so are many others players. There have been a lot of mod proposals lately, and everyone seems to be trying to get their favourite into office. But instead of unsystematically adding new decent mods because they wouldn't do a terrible job, and thus bloating the ranks, I would deem it wiser to cleanse the current ranks of subpar or inactive mods, and then to see where there is a need for supplements: if any timezones are not yet covered by the staff members' schedules, if some language diversity was needed, &c.
Ralx is Italian, one of only two (I think), and online at times when Enton, te3, or mazznoff are often around as well. I thus don't see what compelling reaons there are to make him a mod over simply appreciating him as a good player. -P.P.A.-
