• 2015/06/15 After a bloodless coup, a new shogun was installed, and Kanshoku rose up once again.
• 05/09/2015 After many weeks of coercion and court intrigue, the reigning Shogun Carluga persuaded Usagi Hirohito to abdicate his head of state position and pursue his love for carrots full-time. No new Emperor has yet been crowned, making the Shogun sole ruler.
• 14/09/2015 Tomoko returned and reinstated Usagi Hirohito as Emperor.

The Emperor of kanshoku is the head of the Imperial Family and is the ceremonial head of state. The Current Emperor is Usagi Hirohito.

The shogun is appointed by the Emperor, but can be replaced by a Daimyo. The Shogun controls foreign policy and limited domestic policy. He is the true non-symbolic leader of the nation and comes from the strongest clan in the nation.

The Daimyo, under the shogun control regional policy in their Domains (Provinces) and are semi-autonomous. Daimyos can war each other for territory (with the permission of the shogun) or become shogun themselves, if they defeat the current shogun in 2 out of 3 battles, other daimyo, samurai and citizens can ally with either side to reach this goal or defend the current shogun. If a Daimyo involves foreigners to fund or help them in becoming Shogun, their claim is nullified, they are automatically stripped of their status as Daimyo and they must commit sudoku by jumping off a cliff, by degree of the Emperor. Only the Shogun and Emperor can make Samurai into Daimyo.

Under the Daimyo are the Samurai who protect the Daimyo's domain (A samurai not in the employment of a daimyo is considered a Ronin). Samurai can hire Ashigaru, who are foot soldiers, to help them out in doing their lord's bidding.
