Kovio's application for mod position

Despite what you may think about me personally, or what you may think about the Katten Khanate I am an immense help to the server. You may not have noticed, or ever cared to look, but as I've outlined in a lot of rejected proposals, one reason I attempt to abuse the system so much is to outline it's inheritance flaws. In fact, the first person to suggest we outline actual rules, laws, a constitution, and a immense reform to PvP laws, and nation laws. These however were considered 'silly' and 'dumb' and were promptly deleted, however now these same ideals, nearly 7 months later, are being used in the constitution proposal over the server. Ever since joining the server I've done nothing but to expose mod abuse, and would like to personally take responsibility in the help of getting Tangaloa, and caBst demodded. One of my major issues on this server is the extreme lack of communication between mods, admins, and players. One mod may ban for a day for an offense, another may ban for a year for the exact same thing, and both offenders having the exact same 'record'. There needs to be a stop put to the appalling, and frankly lackluster way the staff operates, and simply the way the server operates. Admins are unresponsive to majority wants, and mods are unresponsive to those they don't favour, and act on a whim rather than following a set of rules. They are given as much authority on the server as admins are, now I'd say they shouldn't but due to the fact our admins have almost virtually no interest in server politics, and the everyday happenings of the players, I can't blame them for giving absolute authority to the mods. The way to fix the lackluster and corrupt administration is to not appoint more mods, it's to make a clear hierarchy, with laws, and punish those who offend that hierarchy. Mods should not simply be above the law, and they should never get involved in politics. I can recount countless times I've been banned, or gotten yelled at for Roleplaying with other people. I can recount one situation, me and Striker2117 were pretending to have a civil war, and we were killing each other and then I was banned for killing him. When trying to explain the situation, it took almost a full day to get unbanned. I'm sure many other players have experiences like this as well. Whenever I have received FAIR bans that are according to the laid out rules, I never complain in a manner more than “unban pls”. However when the ban is unjust, or irrational, or I don't understand the reasoning and attempt to get staff to explain it, more often than not, they will simply ignore you. When having a staff or mod team, they should be able to explain why they have banned someone accurately, and be able to cite which rules they have broken. Mods should NOT be able to act on their own moral integrity, and should have to act on the laws laid out by a precise system set out for the staff. I would greatly help in this, as being a main exposer of mod abuse, and being good at exposing the lackluster set up of laws on the server. This proposal is not so much me wanting mod, as wanting to stop the disregard for any semblance of law on this server.

General tidbits

• I personally lived up the server with the Katten Khanate
• Me, with the help of Chris Sikandar and Greenkitten personally helped host three of the largest battles ever on the server, with a record high attendance rating on all sides.
• I constantly report griefing, and myself have never been banned for griefing. Despite what people say, PvP is not griefing, and I have never griefed buildings or peoples stuff.
• I had a personal role in the demodding of caBst and Tangaloa for mod abuse.
• I have been an avid supporter of a server constitution, and more laid out rules.
• I have always acted within the 'current' laws of the server, which, despite what people may think, should be what we follow.
• I do not personally agree with many of the laws currently on the server, as they allow too much abuse. As seen by me, however the answer is not to just ban the abusers, for they are breaking no rules. The answer is the reformation of the law system, and the changing of staff.
• Despite my altercations with many people on the server, most can attest that I am a rational, kind person. Despite many of my actions towards them, they still hold respect and a nice attitude towards me.

I would also like to say I have very good relations will all who I have gone to war with as this is a game and I don't hate. War is just a part of this server, if you have taken any of this personally that is the fault of you, and not me. I hold no grudges, or personal favours.
