Kaiserstadt is a small, fortified settlement on the far North-East edge of the map.

On June 30th, Socks began playing Minecraft with /int/. He, along with several others, was introduced to the game by the leaders of the already existing state of Wojakistan. The others promtly settled in Wojakistan, becoming citizens of the tyrannical Greco-Slavic regime there, but Socks sought greater autonomy. He recruited a Russian, named Aineias, and together they started creating a fort named Koenigsberg relatively far from Wojakistan (so much so that the Wojakistanis would attempt to create a rail connecting Koenigsberg and their capital, Slavograd, when the two nations came into union that day). It grew to be a tower of some size, and Socks started building another tower, named Prinzenberg, on the other side of the valley which the fort was built by.

On June 30th, Socks and Sqoot agreed to form a union between their respective nations; thus was born the Northern Confederation. The Wojakistanis almost immediately started building a rail to Koenigsberg, but in the middle of a island stopped. Socks called for a tower to be built there, and it would be the future location of Londonabad. The rail would never be finished due to the premature end of the Confederation. As a result of the discontinuity of the Confederation, with Koenigsberg and Slavograd being separated by several large, uninhabited islands, a massive amount of territory was claimed as rightfully Confederate. With the Confederacy only having a population of 7 but claiming almost as much territory as Kurwa or Batt.x., it was a claim which was understandably not taken very seriously. The claim was first put to the test later that day, when an independent Finn named Bathynomus who had built a house prior to the formation of the NC on the territory claimed by it, refused to join the Confederation or accept compensation for removing himself from the territory. Sqoot and Socks agreed that the Finn should be attacked and forcibly evicted, and a raiding party set out. However, due to the rain and Socks having to leave, the raid fell apart. Sqoot backed down to pressure from a mod and representatives of Kurwa and Batt.x., who declared their support for the Finn. Interpreting this as cowardice of the highest order, Socks declared the Confederation null and disconnected all ties between Kaiserstadt and Wojakistan. Sqoot, however, claimed that Wojakistan, if not Kaiserstadt, was still part of the Confederation, despite it now consisting of only one member state.

With the Kaiserliche exit from the Union - made formal on July 1st - , Socks determined on a much more isolationist foreign policy. He started gradually moving further North and East, leaving settlements along the way, including what would become the Kaiserliche Embassy in future Londonabad. Eventually he came to two hugely tall mountains, connected near the peak by a tiny bridge of dirt and rock. He immediately started building a dwelling on the bridge, and named the place 'Kaiserstadt', which had hitherto been only the theoretical capital and namesake of the young nation. Some time later Aineias came there as well, from Koenigsberg. Aineias set up a mine in the beaches near the mountains, only for Socks to subsequently discover a natural mine was already open, leading to a complex system of caves rich in minerals. They set up residence there for a short while, before Aineias defected from Kaiserstadt to join the dwarves for unknown reasons. Since then Socks has been greatly fortifying Kaiserstadt, transforming the mountain into a half-natural, half-artificial fortress.

On July 2nd, Chaosproscho, a German bernd, came to stay at Kaiserstadt. Also on that day Kaiserstadt reconciled with Wojakistan and agreed to an alliance with it, in exchange for Kaiserstadt recognizing that Wojakistan was still the Northern Confederation.

On July 3rd, a second immigrant came: Einarmo. He came largely under the guidance of AlphaBernd, and built a dirt-only structure above the Kaiserliche garden. Later that day, a third immigrant, named Argierage, joined Kaiserstadt, and nearly immediately thereafter, the nation of Estlandia and its namesake, an Estonian bernd, agreed to become an autonomous province of Kaiserstadt, as 'Eststadt'. This agreement stemmed largely from Estlandia's interest in isolation, and as part of the agreement he would have full jurisdiction within his own territory but Kaiserstadt would deal with external matters, such as diplomacy, in his place. Later that day AlphaBernd decided to move into Kaiserstadt, for unknown reasons and for an unknown period of time. He quickly built the peak of Mt. Friedrich into a castle, upon which Socks built a tower extending to the maximum height for building in Minecraft, 127.

On July 4th another immigrant arrived, named BremenBernd, arrived in Kaiserstadt.

Kaiserstadt currently consists of the settlement that is its namesake and some mines surrounding it. The two mountains that it was built on are named Mt. Bismarck and Mt. Friedrich; almost all of the construction in Kaiserstadt has occurred on and in Mt. Bismarck, the smaller of the two mountains. Nearly the entire upper half of the mountain has been made into rooms. It has, for the time being, abandoned Koenigsberg and Prinzenberg due to them being inconveniently far West of Kaiserstadt.

Kaiserstadt, having only two residents, does not have a system of politics. However, the foremost goal of Socks is to attract new residents.

Given that AlphaBernd occasionally stays at Kaiserstadt, and he is an honorary council member of Kurwa, it is widely accepted that Kurwa is a Kaiserliche puppet state.

Kaiserstadt, having only two residents, does not have a system of law. Both Mt. Bismarck and Mt. Friedrich are exceedingly rich in coal.

There is, however, a building code. Floors and ceilings are made out of smoothstone, while fortified walls are made out of cobblestone. Bedchambers may have wooden flooring as long as the ceiling of the floor below remains as smoothstone. This code is in effect across the entire settlement with the exception of mines.

Socks took a loan of 3 diamonds from Sqoot for a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian with, promising to give 4 back. The obsidian was used to build a portal in order to connect Kaiserstadt with the outside world.
