Greenland (The Autonomous Member State of the GAM) commonly known as Greenland is a small island settlement located east of The Tri-Isles, State of Nova Kurwa and north-west of Finpolis.

Founding

Greenies were once a proud part of Nova Kurwa, though due to politics and constant civil wars in the region the Greenies had to evacuate the premisis. So off went Greenkitten heading east to find a safe haven. He walked for like 10 miniutes crossed a desert, 2 mighty raging rivers and came across a lush island full of bountiful resources and far stretching plains. Through brainstorming the island came known as Greenland. Soon after Fly and Greenkitten dug a track to the island from their previous settlement just outside the city of Nova Kurwa.

Dispute over territorial claims

As Greenland was being settled, GAM members visited the island and created close ties to the people. The next day the people of Greenland decided to join the GAM as a fully autonomous state. Attempting to be the next Shakomatic, YugoTexas claims that Greenland is part of Kurwa, though there were no indications prior to the settling of Greenland that it was Kurwan territory Yugo is adamant that it belongs to him.

Greenland is known for its yurts. They are by far the cosiest yurts on the server, no other yurts in Alpha's realm come close.
Visitors have also enjoyed the trainstation which the members of Greenland hope to be a hub for the islands out in the Vostok Archipelago or areas further east. Its current destinations are Edo, Nova Kurwa and a snow biome.
There is a bridge on the west side of the island leading to Strayed's home
At the moment there is contruction on a large fortress facing south. This facing towards Finpolis as a saftey precaution from invading Finns.

Built above abandoned mineshafts Greenland is plentiful in iron ore and coal. What is does lack is trees which Greenies log from Kurwan forest or the forest to the north.

This cosy village like to keep neutral relationships with all nations and settlements no matter how much taunting and jeering tangaloa likes to throw at them.

Greenland is part of the Greater Pan-Asian Meritocracy.
Greenland currently has a merchant guild and has plans for a Tri-isles embassy. Greenland also has an embassy in Nova Kurwa called “The Yurt”

Those who are native to Greenland believe that when they pass on – whether by creeper or the undead – will be ferried to the Ever Fields by Woden/Woten/Odin the Great God. The Ever Fields are a vast expanse of green pastures that is described as what others may consider ‘heaven’ – where people go after they die. It is where the God, Woden dwells, and watches his people below.
A monument to the God is placed above the wheat fields in Greenland, so that he may bless the farmland and the crops.
In some tales, it is said that the sheep of Greenland were given by Woden to his people. Because the animal has close association with the God, it is considered by Greenies as sacred. One sheep in particular that was named Patrick, was believed to be extremely special and favoured by the God because he was an ink black (a rare colour, not seen usually in Greenland).
The people tried to keep Patrick safe and happy, but were reminded that just as Woden could give to them, he could also take away. Patrick was creeper bombed the same afternoon that his new fence was set up to include an outdoor pool.
