The Fourteen Coals of Battkhortia

Twelve of the Fourteen Coals of Battkhortia on display in Voelhaven.

The Fourteen Coals of Battkhortia are a treasure of Battkhortostan. They were stolen from Killer_Chris's house by P_P_A, and are currently in the possession of the House of Breshik.

Theft

On the night of the 18th January 2013, P_P_A infiltrated Al-Iskandariya in search of the relics of the House de Battkhort, in order to retrieve Shakomatic's minecart which had been robbed during Operation Enduring Freedom. Though he failed his objective, he discovered an unprotected furnace in the manor of K_Chris containing fourteen pieces of coal, which he seized as a trophy.

[23:31:43] <autism> <P_P_A> Oh hey, an unprotected furnace
[23:31:50] <autism> <P_P_A> Should I make stealings of 14 Coal
[23:31:56] <autism> <Shakomatic> YES
[23:32:02] <autism> <P_P_A> HAHAHA

Upon his safe return, P_P_A put the Fourteen Coals on display in the town hall of Voelhaven.

Battkhortian Civil War

When Sikandar learned of the Coals' theft, he responded with death threats towards P_P_A. This provoked Killer_Chris to protest against his “aggressive actions towards the docile breshik” and “authoritarian national communism”, leading to the proclamation of the United States of Western Battkhortia.

Preparations were made for the return of the Fourteen Coals to Killer_Chris, but the ceremony was repeatedly delayed due to the civil war raging in Battkhortia.

Murder of P_P_A

P_P_A forging imitations of the Fourteen Coals from common charcoal.

Secret intelligence passed on to the leadership of the Holy Breshikan Empire had cast a shadow of doubt over Killer_Chris's presumed loyalty. In wise foresight, P_P_A smelted fourteen pieces of common charcoal, and forged them into perfect copies of the Fourteen Coals of Battkhortia.

Kaiser Shakomatic had left the game on the 24th of January 2013, entrusting the leadership of the Holy Breshikan Empire to P_P_A and Sidmarcus01. Killer_Chris, who had been excommunicated from the House of Breshik, seized the opportunity and proclaimed himself Kaiser of the HBE.

P_P_A, loyal only to the true Kaiser, demanded the pretender to cease his treachery, to which K_Chris responded by urging the return of the Fourteen Coals of Battkhortia. On the guarantee that K_Chris would thereupon once and for all relinquish his feeble claim to the Breshikan throne, P_P_A agreed. Suspicious of K_Chris, when he arrived at the manor in West Battkhortia P_P_A did not bring the real Fourteen Coals with him, but instead the fourteen charcoal imitations he had earlier prepared. When he approached, K_Chris cowardly drew his sword, and murdered the unarmoured P_P_A in cold blood to greedily loot the coal.

Upon respawning, P_P_A revealed that the pieces of coal K_Chris had robbed were fake, and that the true Fourteen Coals had never left Voelhaven. On that night, his was the last and loudest laugher.

War of the Breshikan Succession & a third set of coals

P_P_A's murder was commonly perceived as an act of war. It led directly to the declaration fo war between K_Chris and Sidmarcus01 & P_P_A in what was to become the War of the Breshikan Succession.

On the night from the 31st January to the 1st Feburary, P_P_A and Sidmarcus01 raided Killer_Chris's mansion. In the atrium, P_P_A discovered fourteen pieces of coal on the walls in item frames, assuming them to be the fourteen pieces of charcoal K_Chris ahd earlier taken from him. Thus he stole them, though one was regrettably lost to the fire Sidmarcus01 had started around K_Chris's house.
After the raid, when P_P_A gloated his spoils, K_Chris objected: the coals he had stolen were not the fourteen pieces of charcoal forged earlier, but a hitherto unknown third set of Battkhortian coals! Their origin is unknown, and the thirteen remaining pieces rest with P_P_A for the time being.

P_P_A, being lazy and inconsiderate, never updated history to mention that later on it was revealed that GlitchyBat was the sleuther who forged and planted the fake fake coals.

After the war

The War of the Breshikan Succession ended with a white peace. Prior to the peace settlement and before the collapse of Nieuw Walschor, P_P_A had returned the third set of coals to K_Chris along with a replacement for the one which the fires consumed, in order to pay his denbtps make up for where he thought to have wronged his foe.

It is rumoured that the original Fourteen Coals of Battkhortia were smuggled to the Kingdom of Avence in the confusion after the war, and are now among the treasures of the House of Breshik. Their exact whereabouts are unknown.
