Government of Battkhortostan
State Authority
The old semi-democratic government has been reformed into a triumvirate composed of LoganTheRed, General Secretary of the General People's Committee; San_Marcos, People's Commissar of War and Foreign Affairs; and Sikandar, Guide and Brother-Leader of the Revolution. The triumvirate holds near absolute power in Battkhortostan and forms the leadership of the Battkhortostan National-Bolshevik Party.
State Bureaucracy
General People's Committee
Carries out the will of the head of government and state and the General People's Congress. Only one person may be secretary of a committee, and that person may be secretary of only one committee. Any resident is free to join a committee as a member with approval of the committee secretary. Secretary positions are appointed by triumvirate members and filled by party members.
Current Committees:
- Committee of Architecture
- Work with Committee of Zoning to provide appropriate space for new buildings, approve of buildings, and plan demolition of unsatisfactory buildings.
- Beautify buildings which are not deemed unsatisfactory but not to optimal quality standards.
- Committee of Blanda
- Make sure minorities are represented in national government through affirmative action programs.
- Committee of Foreign Affairs
- Negotiate alliances and planned battles.
- Keep a record of relations with other nations.
- Plan and construct embassies.
- Committee of Industry
- Organize and maintain national industries.
- Committee of Propaganda/AgitProp
- Aids in deciding names of streets, buildings, cities, etc.
- Committee of Record Keeping
- Organizes government documents, keeps a historical record, and keeps a census.
- Committee of Transportation
- Plan and organize rail tunnels/routes.
- Negotiate linkages with foreign governments.
- Recquisition labor for mining/construction of tunnels.
- Committee of Zoning
- May authorize buildings, zone plots for development, build roads and plant trees.
Currently defunct and under review.
Laws
Battkhortostan is governed by Shariah law.
Customs and Mores
- Do not harm fellow Battkhortis.
- Replant every tree cut with a sapling of its own kind.
- Use and donate often to community chests.
- Every room in every structure of Battkhortostan should have at least 3 block high ceilings to allow for headroom.
- No Ukrainian architecture.
