Battkhortostan was founded on June 16th by LoganTheRed, San_Marcos, and Sikandar following their exile from Kurwa for agitating and participating in the June 14th riots and engaging in sedition through the formation of an opposition party, the True Kurwans. The government was established as a constitutional monarchy but swiftly adopted the model of a Revolutionary Islamic Soviet Socialist Republic. LoganTheRed was elected on July 5th as General Secretary of the Republic. The government was headed by interim official testytigershark until the return of San_Marcos and Sikandar on September 4th.

Battkhortostan on the current map was founded by Killer_Chris and mazznoff on September 22nd with the construction of a small dirt fort not far from what would become the first incarnation of Gribigrad.

The land on which Gribigrad was located would later be sold to YugoTexas of Coenstadt for 24 iron blocks, after originally having been offered 64 iron blocks but then reduced in order to un-ban testytigershark after he had griefed the property while the sale was being discussed.

The refugees created by this sale moved to the Nova Kurwa slums, residing in what would become the future embassy of Battkhortostan.

On September 26th Sikandar nearly caused an international incident including war with both Kurwa and West Rhodes. At this time a plot was hatched against him and he was violently deposed in a coup by then Commissar Killer_Chris. Sikandar went into exile in the mines of Mongrelia claiming to one day return to reclaim his position as leader of Battkhortostan and punish Kurwa and West Rhodes.

From September 26th until December 9th there existed two Battkhortostans, the Battkhortostan RISSR and the Republic of Battkhortostan, caught in a bitter civil war. Besides the initial coup, however, no battles between the nations were actually fought, and it is rumored the whole incident was a scheme of the two Battkhorti leaders to infiltrate and cause unrest in rival governments.

In early December, Sikandar returned from exile. On December 8th he was restored as Guide and Brother-Leader of the Revolution of all Battkhortostan, and on December 9th the warring states officially made peace and were reunified into the Fourth Republic of Battkhortostan. On that same day, Battkhortostan became involved in the Kurwan succession crisis and civil war, which ended in the dissolving of the Common Empire and appointment of YugoTexas as ruler of Kurwa.

Battkhortostan later involved itself in a conflict with the Templar Order of Saint Breivik, losing the first battle due to divine intervention.

The Fourth Republic was built on an ancient Finnish empire. This would grow into the largest and most influential version of Battkhortostan, whose dominance of the server was cut short by the actions of omgmac (who, ironically, built his mansion in the Battkhorti capital of Novobattkhortsk). It was during this time that BURDO, the Battkhorti intelligence agency, was founded. It was also during this time that Battkhortostan's old rival was castrated through the placement of a useful idiot as the interim ruler of Kurwa during a succession crisis. While the puppet would prove uncooperative, the tide of events would eventually lead to the collapse of Kurwa as a power and establishment of its capital territory as a neural realm removed from politics.

The Fifth Republic was founded, but never quite grew to the size of its historical counterparts. It eventually became a vassal of the Katten Khanate, with many of its old citizens becoming important officials within the growing empire.

The Sixth Republic was established after Battkhortostan declared independence from the Katten Khanate. The sixth iteration of Battkhortostan had gone from being a vassal of the Katten Khanate to being one of the largest independent settlements on the server.

The seventh incarnation was formed when K_Chris took over leadership in the absence of Sikandar. With Premier Sikandar having disappeared, K_Chris took it upon himself to reinstall the long-abandoned Battkhort monarchy to ensure the territories would not be left to the hordes of nomads that ruled the land. K_Chris's claims on the Duchy of Cumberland are reflected in the name of a new noble house of Battkhortostan: de Battkhort-Breshik.

The eighth Battkhortostan was formed in a coup led by Sikandar on January 15th 2013 against K_Chris, thus restoring House de Batthkort to the Battkhorti throne.

The First Civil War of Battkhortostan was allegedly sparked by disagreements among the leadership concerning foreign policy. Battkhortostan fractured into three states: The Kingdom of Battkhortostan (East Battkhortostan), Western Battkhortia, and West Battkhortostan Occidentis. The war ended in reunification of West Battx and East Battx, Sikandar asserting himself as absoluter ruler of Battkhortostan, and Battkhorti support for K_Chris' claims on the throne of the Holy Breshikan Empire (which would be one of the events leading up to the Breshikan civil war).
