On the ninth of March, 2013. The Multinational Conglomerate, Grundescop, acting under direct authority of the Katten Khanate nationalised the Battx Banking Company at Spawn.
Background
Grundescorp, upset with their Battx constituents breaking binding contract, and creating their own banking system not under Dyncorp or Grundescorp name, act under the Authority of the all mighty Katten Khaganate and nationalise the National Bank of Battkhortostan.
The Nationalisation, and Seizure
Geundescorp Authorities, led by co-chairman, Nick vaan Buren, barged into the NBB and took all employees hostage. All assets of non nationals were frozen, and all papers were shredded. All stakes in the company were Terminated, and the beneficieres being were frozen. All fund were taken and loaded onto the rail line direct connect to New Zion. Only one Grundescorp official reamined in the Bank, Mister Nick vaan Buren to see over the bank.
The Terrorist Attack
The Battx government, furious over this nationalisation process, and the seizures of all their funds launched an inside attack on the bank. With help of the hostages inside, they managed to smuggled an explosive inside the bank. The bomb was to detonate, and had the hostages been given due time and not been discovered would have escaped.
The Raid
Amidst gunfire, and international uproar. The Spawn Police Department decided to take action and raided the bank. The police had noticed the bomb, but due to the police barging in, so too did Mister Buren. Quickly, he executed as many hostages as possible for treason, amidst attack from the Police Department. One hostage escaped, and the bomb went off before anything was done. Mister Buren, quite wounded from the blast was apprehended by the Spawn Police, and is said to have been extradited to Battx Proper.
The aftermath
Mister Buren was accused of setting the bombs, and has possibly been extradited to Battx. However, he insists that he is in fact not the planter of the bomb, and that the bomb was planted by terrorists and disgruntled employees.
Reactions
Many seem to think this was an insurance fraud by the Grundescorp, or possibly a set up. Nobody knows for sure what happened during the twenty minutes, but it will be a day that we remember for the rest of our lives. 3/9 NEVER FORGET.
Damages
The Battx Bank had considerable damage to it's interior and exterior, and shrapnel and debris flying from the building had largly damanged many parts of the local market. It's is not known how many people have been injured in the market area, but at least 3 merchants have been confirmed dead, and countless other injuries have been reported by the local Hospital.
