Lambda is a settlement with a pure scientific background, though, at a first glance, you might not expect that. It's a very obscure place, so you've probably never™ heard of it.
People who want to join Lambda have to sign in as probands first. Probably, they will end up as test objects for the Lambda Research Facility, although its existence is not even proven. They might even be crushed in a Lambda Animal Crusher™. Otherwise, they might just become normal inhabitants.
Lambda won numerous awards for shitty buildings, still we need more Ukrainian architecture and cheap dirt huts with extremely stable roofs to distract visitors from the top secret underground military complex.
History
On the day after Christmas, instead of sitting together with their families, Jerry and Weegee were looking for an island to settle. However, after many hours, they gave up and built a dirt shack on some random island nobody else wanted to live on. Martyr joined them out of pity, so did Schlappi, taq0 and qqK.
Landmarks and Surroundings
Lambda is located on an uninteresting plains biome and consists of several islands and a peninsula. Also, as a matter of fact, it's surrounded by water and air. One day, there will be the Lambda Research Facility and other marvellous buildings. However, this is constantly getting delayed due to excessive planning (actually epic procrastination).
Economy
There is no serious business and there will probably never be. The inhabitants prefer programming free software instead. Yet, Lambda will export valuable items, for example high quality seeds, sticks and rotten flesh.
Local Life and Issues
Occasional parties in martyr's FUNPARK are part of the local life in Lambda. Apart from that, living in Lambda is rather boring.
Politics
Lambda is indie as fuck, so it won't become a nation or part of another one. Deal with it.
